Support Services for People with Limb Loss or Limb Difference

Access practical guidance, support and connections to others facing similar challenges

If you are living with limb loss or limb difference, or supporting a family member, there are a range of support services available to help every step of the way.

Te Pou Aropā Takitoru - Peer Support Service

With support from Limbs 4 Life Australia and Amputees Federation of New Zealand Inc, Peke Waihanga has established a nationwide volunteer Peer Support Service. This service provides support to our patients at all stages of their journey. Those adapting to limb loss are matched with trained volunteers who have adapted to their own limb loss.

If you would like support from a peer support volunteer – or you would like to join the growing volunteer network – please visit the Peer Support NZ website for registration forms and more information.
