Student and university opportunities

Peke Waihanga actively collaborates with universities, students and researchers to bring fresh thinking, research capability and emerging expertise into our organisation.

University internships with Peke Waihanga give students and emerging researchers the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.

Working alongside our teams, students contribute to research and innovation that can help improve outcomes for people with limb loss and limb difference.

We take an open and practical approach to collaboration. We value the perspectives, skills and ideas that universities and emerging researchers bring, while sharing our clinical and technical expertise and understanding of the people we serve.

As a research and innovation organisation, we welcome opportunities to work with universities, students, researchers and other partners on meaningful projects that help shape the future of prosthetic and orthotic care in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We welcome a number of interns during the year. If you’re interested in an internship, research project or collaborative opportunity with us, please contact Dr Schutte at juan.schutte@nzals.co.nz.
