A number of events take place throughout the year, in different parts of the country across New Zealand.

Events are open to all people with disabilities. These are fun, relaxed events where you can meet new people and try something new or test your limits.

Peke Waihanga events have included archery, music, golf and bowls events.

Halberg Games

Annual event run by the Halberg Foundation, taking place in April each year. Open to all athletes with a physical or visual impairment, aged 8-21 years. Visit the Halberg Foundation website.

Stump Club Camp

This is an opportunity for children (8-16 years) living with amputation and limb difference to explore the outdoors, build their confidence and self-esteem. Takes place in December.

International events

Adaptive Climbers Festival

This annual event runs each October. Climbing takes place at the Red River Gorge area, with base camp at nearby Lago Linda in Kentucky, USA. Watch the video to find out more or visit the Adaptive Climbers Festival website.

Born To Adapt

As well as annual events taking place in Rotorua and Christchurch each February, this event also takes place internationally at various locations.
